Top Stitch Interiors: a fresh-start website and logo refresh for a returning Sully seamstress

Top Stitch Interiors is the bespoke curtain, blind and soft furnishings business of Paula Rees, a professional seamstress based in Sully, Vale of Glamorgan. Paula has been hand-making curtains, blinds and soft furnishings since 1996, building a loyal following of clients across the Vale who value her handmade, never-outsourced approach.

After a period working away in the Midlands, Paula recently re-established her business back home in Sully, working from a new studio at the Printmet Buildings on Sully Moors Road. She needed a website that would help her reconnect with previous customers, showcase her work to attract new ones, and give her a gentle, low-cost way back into business.

The project came to me through a BNI referral. Paula wanted a straightforward, single-page site to start with, keeping costs sensible while she rebuilds her client base, but with room to grow into a multi-page site as demand increases. She was keen to feature testimonials prominently, since word of mouth and repeat custom have always been central to how she works.

I built Top Stitch Interiors on a Launchpad startup website package — a WordPress website that keeps things simple for a business just getting back on its feet, without compromising on presentation. The single page introduces Paula and her services, sets out her curtains, blinds, soft furnishings, home re-design and clothing alteration work, and carries a bank of glowing testimonials from long-standing clients — including one from the PA to a well-known local Torchwood actor.

The site sits on GD Graphics’ green website hosting and has been optimised for both traditional SEO search and AI-driven enquiry tools, so Paula shows up however people are searching for a seamstress or curtain maker in the Vale of Glamorgan. Since Paula’s customers often prefer a quick, informal first message, I added a WhatsApp link so people can open a chat with her directly from the site rather than filling in a form.

Paula already had a logo from her previous business and was keen to keep the brand recognition that name carries with existing customers. Rather than starting from scratch, I modernised the existing mark and rebuilt it as a clean vector graphic — sharp enough to use on the website and also supplied for the new sign she’s having made for her workshop.

The site is already gaining traction and generating enquiries for Paula, giving her a steady, low-pressure route back into business on her own terms.
