Carmarthenshire Smart Towns - The art of the possible
Carmarthenshire County Council are making it easier for businesses to access
Small, electronic IoT devices which can help tell you what’s going on in your business, in real-time. These clever, unobtrusive devices and sensors report to you via a dashboard so that you can make decisions based on the actual activity and measurements recorded. They are part of a wider system of connectivity known as Smart Towns. A pilot project to help a small number of businesses in Llanelli, Carmarthen, Ammanford and Burry Port has begun.
The project has been won at tender by our client Antur Cymru, based in Newcastle Emlyn. The first stage of the project was to commission GD Graphics to create a dynamic and impactful printed and electronic document to help businesses understand the following:
- The aims of the project and the context and how businesses qualify for support.
- An overview of the range of applications available to help paint a picture of the ‘Art of what is Possible’.
- The amount of funding available to deploy the IoT sensors.
- A simple one step application process.
- The training and support available.
The leaflet we designed and printed will be distributed across 4 Towns and is available on line, so that it can be shared electronically by intermediaries such as Business Wales, Superfast Business Wales, the Local Authority and so on.
