GD Graphics Ltd were pleased to be awarded the contract to build a new website for Cardiff Business Club.
Cardiff Business Club is the leading organisation of its kind in Wales. Founded in Cardiff in 1912, the Club holds ticketed luncheon events and dinners with speakers of international standing to address the members. It connects organisations and shares inspiration via registered members through events featuring world class speakers.
Membership of the Club entitles individuals to book preferential places for the events it holds throughout the year.
The new website hosts and helps manage the database of members, offering both membership to personal and corporate clients and enables the promotion and sale of tickets to their events. GD Graphics established the new membership site by extracting data from their previous content management system, setting up the various membership levels for direct purchase and created the ticketing system for the events side of the business. The site also features a newsfeed of stories written and promoted by the Club’s marketing partners Business News Wales. The client needed daily access to the site to monitor membership growth, set up events, handle all ticketing and guest lists and to feature photographic reports on the success of previous events.
The result has seen a steady growth in membership which had fallen due to the restrictions imposed around the Covid 19 pandemic. All of the events promoted on the new site and through it’s connected and integrated email marketing activities, have successfully sold out.
Key to winning the contract was the ease of use of the new system, the ongoing support provided by GD Graphics Ltd and the ‘green’ hosting environment, adding further credibility to the club’s environmental awareness policies and procedures.
Cardiff Business Club’s objective has always been simple: to offer an environment where members can connect with decision makers from across the private, public and charitable sectors to support and promote their businesses. The new Cardiff Business Club website helps to facilitate that aim.
