Chavagnes School

Chavagnes International College is a boys’ Catholic boarding school in France, based on the English classical education tradition. Following a referral from an old friend and colleague of the headmaster, GD Graphics were tasked with rescuing their old website which had fallen into disrepair and had many functional issues. The site was also hosted with a cheap hosting service which provided terrible customer support.

The website rescue and repair package involved transferring the website and a number of sub domain based websites to a new, green energy powered hosting package that we provided. We also supported the school by transferring some 30 email accounts and all of their historical messages. This was a major task in itself as there was over 500GB of data to transfer, with some mail messages dating back to 2010.

The new website is built on the WordPress platform and features an easy to use front end editor and page builder, something the Headmaster specified in his original brief to us. The headmaster feels it's a fundamental part of his and the school's activity to keep the website up to date by adding blog content, information to parents and to promote special events. We also helped them with an international financial application which enables them to receiving funding and support from people and organisations throughout the world.
